hidden setting on facebook allows “more” or “less”

UPDATE: thanks to reader tammy for bearing the bad news that the link to set more or less is no longer valid. tammy, I hope that facebook’s continued refinement of its privacy settings has addressed your concerns. I still have mine, but I’m probably too paranoid!

ORIGINALTalk about timing. The same day I launch my blog with a post about using friend lists in Facebook, Paul Boutin at the NYTimes has a blog post about it too! I’m sure that’s why I only had 30 or so people come look at my post. By the way, if you were one of those people, you rock.

Anyway, buried in the comments on the NYT post was a mention of a hidden setting in the new Facebook that lets users tell Facebook which friends they want to see more or less! NYTimes reader Ben, you are almost as cool as the 30 people mentioned above.

Here’s the link: http://www.new.facebook.com/feed_prefs.php (no longer valid)

Sure it’s more of a pain than the old way. But it’s easier than lists…

Please comment, even if all you want to say is how I have changed your life, mostly for the better.
