Many teachers are doing a lot of learning they never expected this month. COVID 19, Coronavirus, novel coronavirus – whatever, you want to call it, the pandemic is forcing teachers and students to switch to an online education model. Schools are adapting to teaching with Zoom Video Conferencing or Google’s Hangouts Meet.
Most recent users in the education field encountered Zoom Video for the first time in response to an invite from administrators introducing the software. In order to join the call, users first had to agree to installation of a small program (also called a “client”) to run Zoom on their computer. After that, teachers had the ability to create their own Zoom meetings.
Today I’ll be looking at Zoom Video and focusing on the settings every teacher should know to effectively manage their online classroom.
