I’ve been enjoying (and benefiting from) lifehacker for years. the just-geeky-enough content and adhd-appropriate range of subject matter means I can usually find a new distraction every day!
lifehacker fans, especially those of the male persuasion, drew a heavy sigh of disappointment earlier this year when founding editor gina trapani announced her departure. trapani walked the walk – as a programmer herself, her posts on more technical topics didn’t resort to fluff. she was also very good at responding to commenters – often the conversations around her posts were as informative as the original piece.
lifehacker assured readers that gina would still be posting regularly, and happily that has come to pass. posts from her new blog smarterware appear in lifehacker weekly. gina is still giving her readers what they need: for example, last week she was working on a script to “archive, curate and republish” twitter conversations. here’s an example. so cool to have a blogger who can report on a problem, and then help to solve it!
nice to have you back.
